Ghostgum Maine Coons is located on a farm 50klms south west of Brisbane. Interstate transport can be organised for kittens.
The cats are a big part of my life and all are well socialised with people, other animals and the activities around the farm. Depending on the weather, the girls and kittens vary from living in the house (couch potatoes / bed warmers!) to very large, grassy enclosures overlooking the horse paddocks that includes many toys and things to jump and climb on. Our boy, Merlin, lives in a very large, grassy enclosure and always has a companion with him. He chases butterflies and grass hoppers when he thinks no one is watching
The kittens are all born in the house and are raised underfoot so they grow up to be well adjusted with good temperaments and used to a busy household.
I have found the Maine Coons to be playful, active companions who like human company and they each have a personality of their own. Out of curiousity they are often into mischief but they are fast learners and very affectionate and their loud purr gives them away every time.
Ghostgum Maine Coons is a registered breeder, and a proud member of the QFA (QLD Feline Association) and abide by their code of ethics. We are a closed cattery to ensure our cats and kittens are not exposed to unncessary health risks and all breeding cats have been tested negative for HCM and have all their required health checks and vaccinations.
Kittens are ready to leave to their new families from 14 weeks of age, and are toilet trained, have had their 2 vaccinations, are health checked, wormed, microchipped, desexed and come with their registration certificates with the QFA.
I would like to send out a very large THANK YOU! to Margaret Sharpe of Yendor Cats and Helen Toovey of FullofCharm Maine Coons for their advice, direction and assistance in getting me started with this wonderful breed many years ago and for helping me purchase my breeding animals. Please see the Links page for their website details.
